Evidence Base: Parents and carers are bewildered by the language, professional services, and systems (health, education and social care) they need to understand and navigate to get the support they need for their post 16 young person.

Objective: Parents and carers will feel more confident and able to navigate the complexities of the Post 16 SEND world, so they can access the support they need for their family

Learning Outcomes:

Learn the acronyms and language of Post-16
Understand referral systems
Be able to navigate the Herts SEND Local Offer and gain knowledge of services and support across post 16 health, education and Family and Adult social care
Feel confident about what to do next and how to access the Post-16 support and services they need
