About this event

    The London 10K is the biggest event in SpecialEffect's challenge events calendar, with over 200 runners taking part!

    SpecialEffect is a charity that puts fun and inclusion back into the lives of physically disabled people across the world. The fundraising donations raised by our London 10K team have enabled us to help hundreds seriously disabled people to enjoy access to video games. It's also one of our most fun events, with many runners choosing to dress up as their favourite video characters - a tradition we actively encourage!

    There is a suggested fundraising target of £150 per runner and you will be sent the link to set up a fundraising page once you register for a place. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact events@specialeffect.org.uk

    Frequently asked questions

    Is there a minimum fundraising amount?

    We have a suggested fundraising goal of £150 per runner for this event and by signing up for one of our places, you are agreeing to aim for this :) The team will be in touch with regards to setting up a fundraising page once you have confirmed your place.

    Do I need to purchase a SpecialEffect running vest/t-shirt?

    No! We will provide you with one free of charge. If you specified your sizing when signing up, your top will arrive with you shortly. If you haven't, a member of the SpecialEffect team will be in touch with a size guide to help you out.

    Will registering via Eventbrite provide me with my running number?

    No, you will need to register via a link sent to the email address you signed up for the event with. The email will come from Let's Do This and the SpecialEffect team will be in contact to let you know when to expect it in your inbox.

    I can't make it to London but I still want to be involved. Are there any other ways I can take part?

    We have an event on over the same weekend called 10k Your Way in which we're asking people to set themselves a 10K themed challenge (10K run, 10,000 coins collected in your favourite game etc.) which can be completed wherever you are in the world.

    My company would like to be invoiced for my ticket, what should I do?
