Growing knowledge of sustainability

Join our speaker, Mark Tuson, MHort (RHS), who is Garden Manager of the Hardy Ornamental team at RHS Garden Wisley. He is passionate about sustainability, reflected in his MHort dissertation Planting as a coastal landfill erosion management. He said, “The MHort is worth its weight in gold”.

Hear first-hand his experience of studying and what he has gained from the award. He will describe what his current role involves, why he decided to study for the degree-level award, and how through undertaking the MHort, he became more aware of the broader horticultural industry, the shifts that are happening regarding climatic change, and how we can be more sustainable.

What is the Master of Horticulture Award?

The Master of Horticulture (MHort) is designed for experienced horticulturists who wish to advance their knowledge and grow further in their careers.

The Level 6, degree equivalent award is completed online over three years, and allows professional horticulturists the opportunity to expand and develop their research, communication, business development and supervisory/managerial skills. At the same time, candidates will engage with a range of industry professionals in the form of programme assessors and fellow candidates.
